OUR GREAT FAITH: STUDY THROUGH HEBREWS WORKBOOK

FAITH is essential to the Christian life! In fact, Hebrews 11:6 tells us that without faith, it is impossible to please God. The Hebrew believers to whom the author wrote this great epistle were living in a time of intense oppression and persecution, much like Christians around the world are today. In order to have faith in such trying times, these believers needed to understand the greatness of the One in whom they had placed their faith: their Savior, Jesus Christ. Throughout the book of Hebrews, the author continually points the reader back to the greatness of Jesus. He is: Greater than the Mosaic Law Greater than the Old Testament patriarchs Greater than the Levitical priesthood Greater than our own attempts to be righteous As these believers came to realize the greatness of Jesus, they would understand the greatness of their faith. So too with us! The more we come to know Jesus, the more we will believe God and trust His Word; faitth is then implanted and acualized in our hearts. The faith empowers us, blesses us, sustains us, strengthens us, and brings distinction to our lives. As you consider the greatness of Jesus in the book of Hebrews, you will see the greatness of your faith!
